Destination_Fame_winners.jpgGavin Kiely, of Ivory Hair, Limerick, Harry Nichola, of Christian Wiles Hairdressing, Northampton, and Anne Veck, of Anne Veck, Oxford have been named the Matrix Destination Fame 2010 winners.

Now in its third year, the no-rules hair competition received a record number of photographic entries in 2010. These were whittled down to a final 11 who were tasked with recreating their image under the watchful eyes of judges at the L'Oréal International Academy.

Judges Errol Douglas MBE, Matrix Artistic Director Terry Longden, Editor of Hair Magazine Louise White and Matrix Education Manager Darren Oram selected Gavin's glossy, modern purdy, Harry's asymmetric creamy blonde crop and Anne's mid-length bob with crimped detail, which they agreed perfectly reflected the criteria of being bang on trend for 2010/2011.

The three winners will now embark on a Year of Fame with Matrix that includes the chance to work with and be mentored by

some of the biggest names in the industry, a three-day photoshoot to create the Matrix 2011 calendar and local PR to promote

their salon.
