Martin hillier teaches the art of hair up
Senscience International Artistic Director Martin Hillier wowed a crowd of over 100 stylists with his hair up skills in UK Senscience's first hair seminar at Lacey's Studio in Reading.
Renowned for creating sensual sophisticated hair styles, Martin explained the importance of being able to create classic hair up styles for the customer to enjoy but can easily remove afterwards as well as offering clients tips for at home hair up styles
He said: "It's important whenever you consider hair up that the look and time taken works for a salon environment."
Martin then presented six hair up models that drew inspiration from the past, such as 60s beehives, finger waves and classic Roman/Grecian shapes, but injected a modern twist for a noughties clent.
"Senscience is about creating timeless hairstyles not just trends," says Martin. "There is more longevity in creating sophisticate styles that transcend time.
"We take a gesture, a look and then develop this into a sensual look that the Senscience woman would wear."
