Anthony Turner and the L'Oreal Professionnel team created masculine low ponytails for the Margaret Howell Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
The show: Margaret Howell Spring/Summer 2015
The hair team: Anthony Turner for L'Oreal Profesionnel
The look: Smoothed back hair forming into a very low ponytail with loose pieces - not too slick looking on top, more just flat and tight to the head.
The inspiration: Margaret Howell does masculine
The key product: L'Oreal Tecni.Art Full Volume Extra Strong Mousse
Get the Look
1. Apply L'Oreal Professionnel Tecni.Art Full Volume Extra and Tecni.Art Pli to the hair, working through in sections on the crown. Focus especially on the sides and top to keep the shape tight to the head.
2. Dry in, brushing the hair back. Apply two or three layers if needed to keep the hair smooth and create a flat, aerodynamic head shape without getting to a wet-look texture.
3. Keep brushing all the hair back and secure in a very low, loose ponytail with a simple black elastic. Pull some pieces of hair out, so it looks as though a once-perfect ponytail has dropped out slightly.
4. Use Infinium Hairspray on the top and sides, with a little Mythic Oil if girls have any frizz or flyaways. The aim is not to look shiny or wet-look though, so use very sparingly.
5. Pull out a few more wisps, so that the hair moves as the models walk.
