L'oréal professionnel styles the hair at central saint martins ba show For 17 years L'Oréal Professionnel have partnered with Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design to create inspired cutting edge hair for the up and coming design talent. "Hairstyles and hair colour say as much about you as the clothes you wear, therefore it is tremendously exciting and absolutely vital for L'Oréal Professionnel to forge a relationship with one of the most eminent fashion schools in the world," said Monica Teodoro, general manager of L'Oréal Professionnel. Two key hair looks that were created at the 2018 show, which was led by Kathryn Dartnell at Harringtons were The Mermaid and Pincurl Coils. Here's how you can recreate them...

The Mermaid

A sleek & high shine wet look cascading down back created using L’Oréal Professionnel Wet Domination Extreme Splash and Shower Shine to give a shimmering effect. The hair was taken section by section starting at the nape of the neck, applying the product directly from tint bowl with a tint brush to horizontal sections of the hair from root to tip. The natural shape and direction of the hair is followed to create the effect of just emerging from the sea.

The Pincurl Coil Undercut

The illusion of an undercut on one side of the head was created with small coiled sections of hair. Applying L’Oréal Professionnel tecni.art GLUE from root to tip, working the product through each section, the hair was coiled round, as if creating pin curls Each section was secured with two grips crossed over in an ornamental style. A tousled effect for the other side of the head was created using the natural texture of the hair by blow drying tecni.art Pli through the length, finished off with tecni.art Depolish.
