In 2020 L’Oréal launched L’Oréal For The Future, outlining commitments toward 2030. Throughout this journey, L'Oréal will focus on direct environmental impact, as well as the impact of suppliers and consumers. As part of L'Oréal For The Future, L'Oréal Professional Products have launched Hairstylists For The Future, a programme supporting salons and stylists across five key areas of sustainable change. L’Oréal is dedicated to supporting the hairdressing industry in making these changes by providing courses and toolkits via their 24/7 online learning platform, L’Oréal Access and through their partnerships with progressive companies such as Green Salon Collective who are changing the way salons recycle their waste. L’Oréal Professional Products also work hand in hand with their Salon Partners to support them on their journey to a more sustainable future. Salon Partners have access to expert advice and guidance on how they can reduce the environmental impact of their business and ultimately, be part of creating a more sustainable future for the hairdressing industry. Did you know the L’Oréal Professionnel's Metal Detox range now uses up to 100% recycled plastic making Serie Expert more professional and more sustainable?Sustainability Highlights

“AS OF SEPTEMBER 2021 WE APPOINTED OUR SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER SARA WHO HAS ASSESSED AND CHANGED NEARLY EVERYTHING WE DO IN THE SALON REGARDING PURCHASING AND WASTE. IT WASN'T HARD TO DO, JUST NEEDED A BIT OF FOCUS, PUSH AND THEN SOME CONSISTENCY. SARA HAS IMPLEMENTED VARIOUS SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES IN SALON WHICH INCLUDE PURCHASING REFILLABLE CLEANING BOTTLES THAT ARE FILLED USING CONCENTRATED ECO FRIENDLY CLEANING PRODUCTS AND MANAGEMENT OF OUR DISPOSABLE ECO TOWELS. WE HAVE REDUCED OUR GENERAL WASTE BY 60% (WHICH DOES NOT GO TO LANDFILLS) AND WE HAVE SAVED A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY SO FAR. FOCUSING ON SUSTAINABILITY HAS ALSO CONNECTED US MORE TO OUR CLIENTS AND HAS ADDED EVEN MORE VALUE TO WHAT WE DO.”Andrew Mulvenna, Andrew Mulvenna Hair Visit uk.lorealaccess.com to access the Sustainability Savvy Series.
