The London School of Barbering have announced the opening of their new barbering training academy in Manchester in May.
With two other academies located in London, it is their first academy to open outside of London. Co-founder of the London School of Barbering Justin McEvilly says of the launch: "We have such an enormous response from barbershops and salon owners in the London area to hire graduates from our training program that we needed to expand into Manchester."
The academy's most popular courses include the NVQ 2 Diploma beginner course and the NVQ 3 Masters advanced courses and both will be provided at the new academy in Manchester. This course features students cutting up to six haircuts daily on real clients, which means students learn all the demands of a functioning barbershop. London School of Barbering educators have between five to fifteen years of industry experience.
Michael Kontos, creative director and co-founder says: “Manchester is my favourite city outside London. I grew up listening to bands such as Oasis, The Smiths and The Stone Roses, which helped drive my passion for art and modern culture, so I am so excited to be opening up a third academy in Manchester”.
London School of Barbering specialises in training complete beginners and current barbers and stylists. The academy boasts an international presence with students travelling from around the world.
