James Pecis created a textured take on dip-dye for the Thomas Tair Spring/Summer 2014 show at London Fashion Week.
Show: Thomas Tait
Stylist: James Pecis for L'Oreal Professionnel
The inspiration: An update on the Thomas Tait girl; straight, graphic hair. The look was also designed to reference the dual textures in the collection.
The look: Dual-textured hair; dry and straight through the top two thirds, with the bottom third saturated with shine spray to create a contrast - the 'texture dip-dye'.

Get the look: Prep hair with Bumble and bumble Thickening Spray and Prep, style into a centre parting and blow-dry straight - aim for a clean-looking straight dry, rather than a flat poker-straight finish.
Take 4" sections on either side of the face and pull into a ponytail just above the nape of the neck, leaving the rest of the hair to fall over the top - creating a 'headband' of hair.
Place a strip of paper horizontally across the hair about a third of the way up from the bottom and use as a mask to saturate the bottom section of hair with Bb Shine Spray. You are aiming for a real contrast in texture between the dry top half and the wet, shiny bottom half so be generous!
Break up the ends of the hair with a wide-tooth comb to create separation through the lengths.
