Syd Hayes created grungy beach girls for the Marques Almeida Spring/Summer 2014 show at London Fashion Week. Show: Marques Almeida Stylist: Syd Hayes for Bumble and bumble The inspiration: A grunge girl who's been hanging out on the beach for a few days and hasn't washed her hair - she's just tied it back to get it out her face. The look: Gritty, lived-in texture with hair tied in a self-formed knot Get the look: Hair was drenched with Bumble and bumble Surf Spray and water, then diffuse-dried in to create that gritty, slightly matted texture. Once dry, hair was formed into a knot - no pins were used, which is why the texture is so important; the salt spray adds grip. Extensions were used on some models before prep time, if their hair wasn't long enough to form the knot itself. Key products: Bumble and bumble Surf Spray
