Panos Papandrianos and the Wella Professionals Creative Team created glamorous 1950s curls for the Charlotte Olympia Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
Get the look: Panos wanted the hair to look sexy and playful with a nod to 1950s glamour. A sweeping side glossy fringe contrasted against a dry, beachy tousled wave.
Dampen the hair with a spritz of water and prep with Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier which works as a primer to make the hair more manageable.
Apply Shape Control Mousse throughout the hair to add body and to hold the curls. Blow-dry the hair using the fingers until completely dry, divide into sections and beginning at the bottom of the neck, tong either using a large barrel tong or double barrel waver depending on the hair type. Leave the fringe separate.
Gently brush out the curls for a looser, more tousled effect and spray with Create Character to add a slightly dryer, beach texture.
Blow-dry the fringe forward and sweep to the side, pinning in place to complete the retro look. Finish by spraying with Super Set Hairspray to add extra hold and control.
