London fashion week spring/summer 2012: basso & brooke

Flirtatious, feminine ponytails were in abundance at the Basso & Brooke Spring/Summer 2012 show, with hair created by ghd's creative director, Kenna and the ghd team. "Basso & Brooke's collections are so beautiful and sexy that the hair needs to reflect that," explained Kenna. "It's effortless, gorgeous hair just like the girls that wear the clothes."
"But with such a vivid collection, the hair needed to be toned down and underplayed so as not to compete with the print and colour."
The team coated dry hair with ghd Style Total Volume Foam, which adds texture while leaving hair shiny and healthy-looking.
Hair was then raked in to a ponytail high at the back of the head, with loose tendrils pulled out around the face and shaped with ghd stylers.
The look was long, loose and very sexy - perfect for the print-heavy, slinky silhouettes on the catwalk.
Get the look
Blow-dry ghd Root Lift through the lengths ends to create natural, slightly waved texture. Using both ghd Gold Classic and Max Stylers, bevel sections of the hair around the irons to create movement.
Par the hair by hand and backcomb at the crown. Gather hair in to a low ponytail at the nape and secure loosely, allowing baby hairs to fall out.
