London fashion week autumn/winter 2012: christopher kane

Show: Christopher Kane

Stylist: Anthony Turner for Catwalk by TIGI

Inspiration: A really cool young girl who minds her own business, listens to Nirvana and doesn't really care what people think.

The look: Natural waves with a messy middle-parting.

Get the look: Catwalk by TIGI Your Highness Root Boost was mixed with water and combed through the hair, to add texture rather than volume. Hair was then left to dry naturally for as long as possible to achieve a loose natural wave.

Anthony wanted the hair to look thin and flat, so models with thicker natural hair had the under section for ear-to-ear plaited tightly against the head.

Once hair was dry, it was raked into a centre parting by hand then sprayed with dry shampoo and brushed through. Anthony said that although it was to look grungy, he didn't want oily hair.

Key products: Catwalk by TIGI Your Highness Root Boost and Session Series Transforming Dry Shampoo

The gossip: The hair was so fuss-free, Anthony said that the only debate they'd had was where to put the parting.
