London collections: men - richard nicoll

Inspiration: Sporting elegance.

The collection: Richard described it as: "Elegant. A mixture of sports shapes and classic men's shapes. I've focused on developing exclusive fabrics."

The look: Gary says, "The hair was inspired by a 'just after sport' look, keeping it wearable and elegant yet not too groomed. The ideas was that the model had just run his fingers through his hair after working out or playing sport.

Richard added: "For the men's collection, we wanted to create a sporty but classic look, so we went for a wet textured side-parting for a feeling of new classicism."

Get the look: Start by washing the hair with SP Men Refresh shampoo to ensure there is no existing product residue.

Use a comb to pull the hair back and then make the side parting. Comb the top section over to the side and the side section down and back.

Using the palms of your hands, smooth SP Men Everyday Hold through your hair, using a hairdryer on a medium heat to dry the product in.

Once the hair is dry, apply a small (50p-size) amount of SP Everyday Hold again, but this time only through the top to create definition. 

 To finish the look with a high shine, use SP Sublime Perfection.
