Lifestyle tv responds to angry clients
Lifestyle TV has responded to the dozens of complaints appearing on the MyHJi Forums concerning the company.
Posts from irate members began appearing on the forums back in September last year, claiming Lifestyle TV had not lived up to promises made at the time contracts were signed. The company supplied mirrors which housed TV screens and offered a share of advertising revenue to the salon.
Complaints allege mis-sellling, lack of revenue from advertising, and an array of unresolved technical problems.
Members also complain of having heard nothing from the company for months and of being unable to get hold of anyone on the phone number they had been given for the company.
A statement released to HJ from the directors of Lifestyle TV read:
"The availability of credit and the current market conditions have sadly led us to significantly downsize the business with 30 members of staff losing their jobs. However with a cash investment from the current directors and positive ongoing negotiations with credit providers we will be able to push the business forward shortly. In the meantime we thank our existing customers and suppliers for their continued patience whilst we sort out problems that are directly connected with the global credit crunch."
Commented Eileen Lawson, secretary general of the National Hairdressers' Federation, who approached the company on behalf of its members:
"The NHF will not tolerate its members being badly treated by anyone. Lifestyle TV has a lot of bridge building to do if the salon industry is going to be able to trust it. We are sure our members will let us know if the company does not follow through with the promises it has made."
