Lfw trend report: roberta einer aw17 with aveda

Aveda Global Director, Bea Watson created a 90’s inspired look for the AW17 Roberta Einer show at London Fashion Week incorporating the idea of ‘faux-hair’.

Inspiration

Greta Garbo meets early 90's cute bob shapes made iconic by models like Kate Moss. Combining varying curl and wave patterns with textures to encourage natural movement - the look is an updated version of vintage.

How to

The look was created by securing a double French twist close to the nape, using tongs in variety of sizes on the top layer of the hair before rolling this under and pining to create a faux-bob shape.  Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid was used for a conditioned finish, whilst Aveda Phomollient and Control Force Firm Hold Hairspray add structure and hold.

Aveda Pro Tip

To pull this look off it's all about creating a strong foundation and structure to hold the shape, and then using different sized tongs to get a natural wave pattern.
