Concept Hair Learner of the Year 2025 Competition - Applications Open!

Published 04th Oct 2024 by Charlotte Grant-West

Celebrating its sixth year, the Concept Hair Learner of the Year competition for 2025 is now open for applications.

Concept Hair continues to shine a spotlight on the UK’s most promising hairdressing and barbering students.

The competition provides a national platform for up-and-coming hairdressers and barbers to showcase their creativity across a wide range of categories, including barbering, hair-up, styling, colouring, textured hair and avant-garde.

Last year’s winner, Kelly Edwards from Grimsby Institute, shares her experience: “The competition has given me the confidence boost I needed. It’s a day I will never forget!” Winning not only offers unrivalled recognition but also amazing prizes, marking the beginning of an illustrious career"

Round One invites participants to demonstrate their talent through photographic entries, which will be judged by top industry experts. The top six from each category will then advance to a Live Final in March 2025.

Zoë Tanner, Managing Director at Concept Hair, comments: “We're very excited for the 2025 Concept Hair Learner of the Year competition! It's a national platform for aspiring next generation talent to shine. Let's celebrate the future stars of our industry together!”

The competition is proudly supported by market-leading industry brands, including L’Oréal Professional Paris (Headline Sponsor), Alan Howard, Wahl, The Fellowship for British Hairdressing and How To Cut It: Platform.

The deadline for entries is 29 November 2024. To find out more or to enter your learner into the competition, head here.
