La Biosthetique UK Beauty Stylist Awards 2011 saw 54 hairdressers from across the UK recognised for their creative efforts in both cutting and colour categories.
Images from all entrants were presented on screens to the capacity crowd gathered at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, but there were clear winners and runners-up in each category, both of which had been prejudged by a panel of hair professionals and journalists.
The winner of the Cut Competition was Helen Tether of Sensu in Halesowen; while the runner-up in this category was Andrea Such of Moko, Market Harborough.
Winner of the Colour Competition was Charlotte Hackford of The Avenue Sheffield; while runner-up was Laura Kelland of Sculptures, Rhondda Cynon Taff.
The evening also saw creative presentations by the company's young artistic team and its UK artistic team.
The young artistic team's show was influenced by the film Black Swan, while the La Biosthetique UK artistic team took inspiration from graffiti artist Banksy.
