L'Oreal Professionnel has launched its first ammonia-free highlift blonde, Inoa UltraBlond, to a selection of the UKs top colourists.

Names such as Royston Blythe, Carolyn Newman, Mark Creed, Ken Picton and Alan Edwards heard about the benefits of the product, of which Alexa Chung is an ambassador.

General manager Claire Townend said that more than 50% of women want to be blonde - and new Inoa UltraBlond offers shinier, smoother, stunning results.

The highlift blonde can lift five levels and comes in seven shades, lifting and tinting in one step.

Inoa UltraBlond is perfect for all blonde clients but according to research, there will be 13.4million women aged 50+ by the year 2020.

And while there are some clients who want creative colour,  50% want natural colour to enhance their look.
