L'oréal opens new global research centre in paris
As part of its commitment to research and innovation in hair, l'Oréal has opened a new €100 million Global Hair Research Centre in Paris Saint-Ouen.
The new centre, which will house 500 employees, including chemists, technicians, opticians, scientists and statisticians, has been designed to be kind to the environment and has received the High Quality Environment certification for its sustainable build.
Its aim is to become a global hub that works in tandem with research facilities in the United States, Brazil, France, India, China and Japan to respond to both global and regional needs.
Speaking at the centre's inauguration, L'Oréal chairman and CEO Jean-Paul Argon said: "This is the most important hair research centre in the world.
"There will be 500 people working here who are passionate and obsessed by hair and only hair.
"From this new base we are going to give birth to lots of revolutionary products."
