KMS California's first UK Editorial Collective have just enjoyed the chance to work backstage at London Fashion Week; the latest in a year-long programme of creative and educational events.
The six talented stylists were chosen from the cream of KMS California's talent - put forward by their salons and then selected after a round of auditions.
Making up the Editorial Collective are Andrea Dorata of Dorata Hairdressing in Henley; Jane Freeman of Anthony John Salon in Lichfield; Vassos Kesta of Hectik Hair in Bromley; Samantha Earl of Hair Associates in Kingston-upon-Thames; Ashley McMillan of Paterson SA in Edinburgh and Neil Smith of Barrie Stephen in Leicester.
The Editorial Collective have already enjoyed creative workshops - including a masterclass with session star Liam Curran, hair makeovers for a consumer magazine led by Neil Smith from Barrie Stephen and backstage styling for the Your Hair magazine awards, which they also got to attend as guests of KMS California.
All of this experience and training lead to the ultimate session styling experience; working at London Fashion Week. The talented six worked backstage at
the Bora Aksu show, creating hair for the critically-acclaimed designer's tenth-anniversary show.
The team will now go on to work backstage at
the Little Noise Sessions in November before going on to become the core Editorial Collective team as KMS recruit new members for 2014.
