KH Hair’s 21 salons and barber have opened their entries for their coveted Image of the Year Award at the company’s annual Awards in the spring.
Each salon puts forward a team of creative stylists, colour technicians, juniors and directors to carry out a full photoshoot from start to finish with leading photographer Marcus Holdsworth. The teams were asked to complete every aspect, from finding and choosing the model, to creating the finished look.
Now in its second year, the competition is designed to give all salons the chance to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation away from the salon floor.
Darren Messias, Managing Director at KH Hair and the pioneer of the competition, said: “It’s fantastic that our company Art Team are regularly putting on shows and collection shoots but we are aware that there are many staff members across the board who are keen to get more involved in artistic work and fashion-led shoots so we created this competition to do just that.It was hugely well received last year and this time around all of the salon teams have definitely upped the ante. It was a bit of an unknown last year but having seen the competition it seems that all salons have gone even further to create some truly inspiring looks and it’s going to be tough to call the top three positions.”
Wella Professionals have been invited to judge all 22 entries and select their runners up as well as crown the winners and judging will take place next month.
The winner will be revealed at KH Hair’s 9th Annual Awards Ceremony in April.
