Kevin murphy creates movie-inspired glamour at melbourne fashion week

Waves, texture, plaits and good old-fashioned glamour were the key looks created by Kevin Murphy, hair director for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week this September.

Kevin and a team of talented hairdressers took inspiration from old movies to create beautiful but not-too-perfect flowing locks.

While men's hair was inspired by the style movements of the 50s and 80s with exagerated rockabilly quiffs that perfectly complemented the couture.

Day One: Kevin Murphy creates glamourous waves inspired by Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched but with a modern day twist.



Day Two: "Amazing, edgy avant garde hair" is how Kevin's finger waves are described.
