Ken picton celebrates 25th salon anniversary

Ken Picton is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his Cardiff salon, which has brought high-end, big name hairdressing to the Welsh capital. Since opening the doors of his first salon in his home town, Ken has gone on to win numerous leading hairdressing awards. Amongst his wins is a place in the British Hairdressing Hall of Fame for winning Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year on three occasions  - the first Welshman ever to do so. He's also been awarded the prestigious title of HJ's Schwarzkopf Professional British Colour Technician of the Year alongside colleague, Paul Dennison. Ken's salon, in the chic surroundings of Mermaid Quay, has also been awarded Salon of the Year in HJ's British Hairdressing Business Awards. The salon team have also picked up armfuls of other trophies celebrating best salon experience, best team, best manager and image of the year in the consumer magazines. To celebrate his anniversary, Ken hosted a a party for friends, family and industry associates at the St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff. Following Pimms and champagne overlooking the quay, awards were handed out to recognise those who've been an integral part of the Ken Picton salon success story.
