Ke$ha was inspiration behind shoot

I recently did a front cover shoot with Emily Hart from Errol Douglas, who won 2009 Clothes Show Young Hairdresser of the Year. Her prize was to create a front cover image for both HJ and Your Hair. Working with her mentor Jamie Stevens, we took inspiration from popster Ke$ha, who oozes attitude and youthfulness. Her style is rock chic meets grunge chic and while hair was kept quite pretty and young, we grunged it up with rock star-inspired clothes and accessories.
