Colour-Campaign-logo.pngThe team at HJ is hugely passionate about the professional hairdresser and everything the industry stands for. This year we're particularly fired up about helping our readers promote themselves as the truly skilled professionals they are when it comes to hair colour. With the effects of the recession still being felt it's easy for clients to be tempted to travel the DIY hair colour route. We're firm believers that professional colourists should be the font of all knowledge when it comes to hair colour, and they should be armed with the expertise, products and knowledge to produce hair colour that oozes professionalism - and then shout about it! That's why HJ has launched the Keep Colour Professional campaign. The aim of the campaign is to arm you, the skilled hairdresser, with all the information you need to get more colour clients in the salon and ultimately grow your salon's colour business by communicating to clients why your salon is the place to go for the best colour results. Here's why the sponsors believe it is important to be part of the Keep Colour Professional campaign. "At TIGI, providing a professional colour service to salons is a vision that we have realised in the last two years. In business terms, we aim to support salon owners with growth and increased profit, and we see colour as a vital aspect of this financial growth. We have always maintained that 'TIGI products are designed by hairdressers for hairdressers' and we are committed to the professional hairdresser. A great haircut looks amazing with the addition of colour, and in our view the best person to create that colour is a professional technician." Philip Ivaldi, colour brand marketing manager, TIGI   "One size does not fit all particularly when it comes to hair colour. Only a professional colourist can customise a client's colour with a formula that is expertly mixed with multiple colours to create the perfect shade. When you go to the salon and see your favourite colourist they give you an unforgettable salon experience. That is exactly why Paul Mitchell is proud to support the Keep Colour Professional campaign." Robert Cromeans, global artistic director of John Paul Mitchell Systems "Keep Colour Professional is a fantastic campaign designed to promote the skill and expertise hairdressers and their businesses have to offer. Schwarzkopf Professional and Clynol Salon Exclusive pride themselves on supporting the very best salons and that means promoting their professional services. Highlighting the importance of professional advice both to salons and consumers is so valuable to our industry and we are delighted to be working with HJ on such a worthwhile project." Colin Sillery, Schwarzkopf and Henkel Professional managing director   "Nothing can surpass the expertise and know-how of salon colourists, so it is important that the UK hairdressing industry promotes the added benefits of in-salon colour services, particularly during the recession when consumers are visiting their salons less frequently." Paul Deacon, marketing director, Aveda "We are excited to support HJ's Keep Colour Professional campaign. At Redken we believe that salon professionals should stand up and shout about their professional edge. We are committed to promoting professional hair colour in the consumer media. This campaign will help consumers understand that by using professional products in a salon setting gives them access to the newest techniques and advances in colour science" Kathleen Gillin Mitchell, general manager, Redken   "We are exclusively available to the professional hairdresser and therefore believe passionately that great hair colour happens in salons. Our belief is that it is only right that salons have the best products available to them and them alone, and we're proud to support the Keep Colour Professional campaign." Nick Wood, managing director, Goldwell   "Being part of HJ's Keep Colour Professional campaign is a natural fit for L'Oréal Professionnel. Everything the brand does is geared towards providing salons with the most professional support. There is a great synergy with what the brand has been specifically trying to achieve over the last three years with projects such as our annual Colour Uncovered campaign, which aims to equip salons with the means to conduct the best possible consultations and client evenings, our health and safety protocol which enables colourists to safely carry out skin allergy tests, and our academy training now offering more than 60 courses which cover all the topics hairdressers need to know about how to be at the top of their game." Vincent Mercier, managing director, L'Oréal Professional Products Division "Wella Professionals is delighted to support the Keep Colour Professional Campaign. Colour is a vital part of the salon and we are dedicated to supporting colourists and salon owners to help them grow their colour business. We recognise that education is vital and are proud to train hundreds of colourists every year, helping to keep them motivated and inspired and able to offer their clients the very best in colour services." Allison Kirkby, managing director, Wella Professionals UK
