Kaya scodelario goes violet with neville hair and beauty

Actress Kaya Scodelario has opted for a vibrant violet shade, in a dramatic makeover at the expert hands of Despina Sianou at Neville Hair and Beauty. The Skins star wanted to make the most of some summer downtime between filming jobs by switching up her natural brunette to something more colourful. Despina Sianou, senior colour technician at Neville Hair and Beauty and Stephen Low, creative director, tell us all about how they got the look below. 1. Using L'Oreal Platinum high lift with 30 volume, start from the back, take a horizontal section of hair moving up towards the top of the head. Mixing the ombre and balayage techniques to avoid having a stripy result. 2. Leave the colour to develop under heat for 30 minutes to give a clean base of 9. 3. Once the ends are lifted, shampoo and towel dry the hair before applying the violet colour for 15 minutes. Then rinse the colour. 4. Use a blow dry lotion to prep the hair and give it some hold before proceeding to do what we at Nevilel call a 'St Barths blowdry' for a smooth and relaxed wave. 5. Take small sections of the hair and using a small to medium brush, curl the hair coming back away from face.
