St James's Palace has announced that hairdresser James Pryce will accompany Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, on her first official Royal tour.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to visit Canada and the US on an 11-date tour this summer with an entourage of just seven people.
While the Duchess has eschewed the services of a personal stylist, she has enlisted the services of her trusted hairdresser James, along with two press advisers and the couple's private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton who commented: "Having done a pretty careful analysis of numbers, we've kept it as tight as we possibly can."
Pryce, who works as creative director at the Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa, shot to international fame this spring for styling the Duchess's lustrous locks for her wedding, which was watched by an estimated two billion viewers across the globe and launched the Duchess to the status of fashion icon overnight.
Along with the team at Richard Ward's Chelsea salon, James has tended to the tresses of the Middleton family for eight years.
Richard says: ""Further to the recent press announcement, we are happy to confirm that our creative director, James Pryce will be accompanying the Duchess of Cambridge as her official hairdresser on the forthcoming tour of North America and Canada. It's another historical moment for the Richard Ward salon team and we are honoured that James has been invited to attend and wish them all a successful tour."
