Organic colour specialist Karine Jackson collaborated with Synergy Events for the Emerging Trends show, which took place during London Fashion Week.
Synergy Events provides a platform for emerging designers to display their collections at upscale runway shows across the world, hosted in the midst of fashion week.
Designers in London this year included Anya Liesnik (as seen in Vogue), Fleur Kelinza (featured in Vogue Italia), Prieston and Leonora Asomanin.
Here, Karine breaks down the look at the Naveda show.
The Look: Distressed fishtail plaits
The Inspiration: Boho couture chic. "Anya’s brief was for straight hair with classical Asian hairstyling, where some strands can fall into the face," explains Karine.
Get the Look: We wanted to get movement in the hair, but so that it could be seen. To achieve this we used a very light crimp at the roots then straightened hair so it would move on the face when the models walk. All models had side partings and one look was to be twisted up and styled in a French braid.
Other looks created at the event included voluminous blow-dries, high-gloss sleek buns, 1920s-style updos with pre-made and pinned Marcel wave pieces and rugged and messy men's looks.
