Kao Salon Division Announces Global Creative Awards 2024 National Winners

Kao Salon Division UK is pleased to announce this year’s national winners of the prestigious Global Creative Awards 2024.

Held at The Standard Kings Cross in London, the UK & Ireland winners of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards were unveiled to a VIP audience including this year’s finalists, salon owners, trade media, and esteemed judges including some of the industry’s leading hairdressing icons.

Hosted by Kao Salon Division UK & Ireland General Manager, Julie Winchester and Sales Director Mitch Lucas, this year’s GCA 2024 UK & Ireland national finalists and their chosen guests were welcomed for an intimate gathering including celebratory lunch held in Isla Terrace, followed with a private drinks reception. The winners’ announcement took place in the New York inspired Townhouse at The Standard with stunning wrap-around views of the London skyline.

New Talent Colorist of the Year:

  • Gold: Sophie Fedoriw, Safy B’s
  • Silver: Niamh Fleming, Black Amber
  • Bronze: Ebony Deighton, Gerard Hairdressing

Creative Colorist of the Year:

  • Gold: Emma Jones, New Wave Hair
  • Silver: Gemma Miles, Hair by Philip
  • Bronze: Luke Golson, GOLSON

Creative Haircutter of the Year:

  • Gold: Jacob Scully, ScullyScully

Technical Awards

New Talent Colorist of the Year Challenge: Show the world that age is not a prerequisite for creative excellence. This category is designed for stylists with less than five years of experience to display their talent and technical ability.

Creative Colorist of the Year Challenge: The ultimate colour competition where stylists with passion and drive can bring their vision to life in the stunning world of colour.

Creative Haircutter of the Year: This category is open to all passionate haircutters to show the world that their work is a cut above with this precision cutting competition.

The participants of the technical categories will first compete at the national level in their respective countries, then those ‘Gold’ winners will move on to the international competition.

Editorial Awards

Men’s Hairstylist of the Year Challenge: Show expertise in men’s styling, barbering and grooming by creating a cutting-edge men’s look.

Avant Garde Stylist of the Year Challenge: Push the boundaries of conventional hairstyling and dare to inspire with a look of visionary work.

Reward and Recognition

The global Gold winners of each of the Technical and Editorial categories will be recognised and awarded for all their creative efforts. In addition to the international gold trophy, they will receive worldwide editorial coverage, a cash prize of 2,500, global social media exposure, and a three-day trip to London, the hairdressing capital of Europe.
