Josh wood to be patron of everton free school salon

Internationally-acclaimed colourist Josh Wood has been announced as patron of the new Blue Rinse Salon, which will open at Everton Free School in 2015. Launched in September 2012 by Everton in the Community, Everton Free School caters for young people aged 14-19 and offers an alternative education pathway to those who have become detached from traditional schooling.  The Blue Rinse Salon will open in early 2015 and will give guidance, training and support to students who wish to pursue a career in the hair industry. To celebrate the news, Josh and eleven students enjoyed a trip to Premier League HQ to see the Barclays Premier League Trophy, before a visit to Josh's salon in Holland Park. Here they had the chance to experience world-class hair, nail and beauty services and an inspiring talk from Josh and his team. Josh says: "Coming from a challenging background myself, I am ever so grateful for the opportunities that learning the craft of hair has given me. I am thrilled to be working with Everton Free School and will hopefully have the opportunity to influence another person’s path in a small way, by passing on my knowledge of this wonderful industry."
