Acclaimed colourist Josh Wood has opened his second salon in London's historic department store, Liberty.
The new space - the first ever salon in Liberty - launched in style with a star-studded opening party attended by the fashion industry's A-list. The likes of Laura Bailey, Kristen McMenamy, Grace Woodward, Serena Rees and Henry Holland all headed to the shop's historic East Atrium for a glittering party to welcome Josh to his new home.
Guests were treated to champagne and canapes from the salon's in-house chef as well as DJ sets from James Long and Cozette McCreery. Theatrical performance group, Theo Adams Company, also arranged a piece which saw 20 models in blonde wigs - prepped by Josh with ILLUMINA COLOR - flood the multiple-storey atrium in an explosion of glitter.
Launched in association with Wella Professionals, the salon boasts the world's first ILLUMINA COLOR bar as well as cutting and styling stations staffed by Josh's hand-picked dream team.
Daniel Minney, Managing Director for Wella Professionals said: "We are really excited to support our Global Creative Director; Josh Wood's opening of the new Atelier at Liberty. Over the past few years our collaboration with Josh has delivered real success for Wella Professionals and the hair colour industry. As we head in to 2013 we look forward to launching further innovations inspired by Josh's creative insights that will transform the way hair is coloured"
