Josh Wood recently gave ten colourists the experience of a lifetime, as they learnt more about Wella Professionals Couture Colour from him and a panel of experts.
The ten winners spent the day in London, starting with a trip to the Hoxton gallery of artist
Andrew Salgado. He talked about the importance of using quality products to produce premium results and why a consultation with a client is always key to ensure a result that your client loves.
Hoxton Hotel was the venue for the afternoon session, where Toby Vogler, Studio Leader for Wella Professionals, presented Couture Colour and its three most important factors: Consultation, Couture Colour Products and Client Experience.
The afternoon with another take on couture from two of fashion's most-renowned names; Kathy Philips, former beauty director at Vogue and Camilla Morton, author of How To Walk in High Heels and consultant to some of the top fashion houses.
"Clients want to feel individual and be individual and our biggest mistake is that as colourists we can get into a routine and continually just repeat it," explained Josh at the end of the day. "Most clients are petrified of change so its important to have a different conversation with them understanding that their hair is part of their identity."
