Joico has launched its first academy in Northern Ireland, at the revamped Michael Quinn salon in Belfast.

In his role as Joico Educator, Michael will now deliver training seminars to salon students with the aim of developing Joico stylists and colourists throughout Belfast and surrounding areas.

Fresh from top-up training at Joico's Artistic Institute in Helmond, The Netherlands, Michael is totally up-to-date with the latest techniques and innovations in cut and colour.

Michael said: "With Michael Quinn Hairdressing taking on the role of Joico Academy it enhances the opportunity for training locally. Students previously would have had to travel to Dublin or Athlone, whereas a local academy makes education much more accessible."

He added:"One of Joico's key strengths as a company is its commitment to on-going education and development."
