Joico is now officially peta-approved

JOICO is now officially certified by PETA as “animal test-free” and “PETA approved”. This certification means that JOICO has been verified as not conducting, paying for, or allowing any tests on animals whether for its products’ ingredients or formulations, or finished products, anywhere in the world.
In order to be recognised by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) or to carry the either the “Animal Test-Free” or “PETA Approved” logo, companies and brands must commit to “never conduct, commission, pay for, or allow tests on animals at any phase of development, for both ingredients and final products.”
The main production plant, located in Geneva, New York, U.S.A., produces the majority of JOICO retail and professional hair care and hair coloring offerings with a few selected limited items outsourced. Now, shoppers are assured that the JOICO products they purchase from approved channels and vendors are not tested on animals regardless of where they have been produced.
The PETA verification for JOICO also means any supplier it works with attests to the same standards, so the whole JOICO supply chain is also free of animal testing.
JOICO shoppers will start to see the “PETA Approved Global Animal Test Policy” logo throughout its website pages, on product packaging and all through the brand’s social channels to help support its commitment to be free of animal testing. JOICO has also publically encouraged the hair professionals and consumers that use their products to shop compassionately and use products that don’t test on animals.
