John Paul DeJoria, the founder of
John Paul Mitchell Systems, has received honours from the
T.J. Martell Foundation and
The Dream Foundation for his philanthropic work.
The T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research presented John Paul with the
Lifetime Humanitarian Award at their 39th Annual Honours Gala. Focussing on his journey from humble beginnings to global business icon, the Foundation presented John Paul with the award in recognition of his inspiring professional growth.
November will see The Dream Foundation honour John Paul with the
Humanitarian Award for the significant impact he has made through vital contributions to Dream Foundation programs, helping dream recipients and their families since 2002.
Dream Foundation executive director, Kisa Heyer says: "John Paul DeJoria is a caring and accomplished humanitarian who has helped bring peace, comfort, and closure to countless dream recipients and their loved ones through the fulfillment of final dreams. A true humanitarian, he lives each day by his renowned philosophy that 'success unshared is failure,' and he has demonstrated this in the time and resources he’s invested in making the world a better place for our dreamers."
John Paul is a generous supporter of numerous charitable initiatives across the globe, including most recently the
#GIVINGISMYSTYLE campaign. This social media campaign supports many of his ongoing charity partners through an online initiative that encourages charitable giving via social engagement.
