Jennifer aniston’s most iconic hair colour looks, explained by her colourist

From 'The Rachel' to her classic golden highlights, Jennifer Aniston's hair history has a number of iconic hair colour looks. HJ spoke with celebrity colourist Michael Canalé about how he colours Jennifer Aniston’s hair, as well as her most iconic hair looks of all time, from Friends through to The Morning Show.

How can I recreate Jennifer Aniton’s hair colour in the salon?

“My first tip is to work with the natural base colour – medium brown is my favourite,” says Michael. “I use paper-thin highlights to bring the colour down to a light brown, emphasising a little more highlighting on the ends to make it look like natural summer blonding. “If you must cover grey, I prefer semi-permanent, which is much easier to control when highlighting. Once this colour is achieved, I insert the signature highlights,” he says. “The colour is sandy blonde, which really works with Jennifer’s skin undertones and eye colour. Sandy colours go very well with warm, golden tones. “Years ago, I developed a very special gloss for Jennifer Aniston, it gives her the incredible shine that attracts you to her hair,” says Michael.
