Jean-pierre braganza join forces with label.m for fashionable festive season label.m and Jean Pierre Braganza collection Christmas 2014 Jean-Pierre Braganza has collaborated with label.m for a fabulously festive collaboration. And, to celebrate the launch, the brand - who are the official haircare products of London Fashion Week - hosted an intimate Q&A with TONI&GUY international art director, Indira Schauwercker and Jean-Pierre - here are some of the highlights. How important do you think hair is as a part of the fashion industry? I: I think hair is easily the most accessible way into a trend. It gives everyone the chance to be a part of fashion, no matter what their budget or shape and size. Not everyone can dress in head-to-toe Jean-Pierre Braganza, much as they'd like to, but they can take the hair look from the catwalk and echo at least a small part of the look. label.m and Jean Pierre Braganza collection Christmas 2014 Do you think that women really do want to wear hair looks from the catwalk? I: Absolutely, more so than ever. Thanks to the internet and the immediacy of bloggers backstage at shows, more women than ever know what's going on. They are genuinely interested in hair trends and want to try the looks out. Jean-Pierre, why did you want to be a part of this collaboration? J-P: It was a huge honour to be asked. I feel really lucky to work with TONI & GUY and with Indira, who has worked with me for the last four seasons. She knows me inside out and just gets it - I always find it very reassuring to have her with me. She's a calming influence! I: Working with Jean-Pierre also allows me to push myself creatively. Working together and knowing each other so well means we’re much more open and can work together organically. Fashion week is the time that you really get to play with hair and experiment with things that you can't do in the salon every day. Which is your favourite style from the collections you've worked on together? J-P: Spring/Summer 2013, without a doubt. I: I agree. I'm a huge fan of Hans Giger's work and had been dreaming about doing some hair inspired by it. I walked into Jean-Pierre's studio and the whole place was covered with Giger pictures - I couldn't believe it! What are your backstage essentials? Volume mousse, hairspray and dry shampoo. Unlike with my avant garde work when it's usually glue and wire!
