Jay jay's takes the lead at nhf awards
Jay Jay's of Bristol are on cloud nine after sweeping the board at the National Hairdressing Federation Awards with four fantastic 1st prizes and two 2nd prizes.
Julie Lewis and Becki Blakeley were awarded the gold and silver medals and took the "Hair by Night" category by storm. The all girl team bagged the salon a total of six medals.
The successful team included owner Julie Lewis along with her fantastic team Becki Blakeley, Sarah Thomas, Mel Higgs and Melissa Dible. Events at the competition varied from "Trainee Blow Dry" to "Bride Event" to "Men's Cut", in all of which these lovely ladies were heads above their competitors.
But they deserved every success after months of preparation and perfecting their hair skills to prove that they are still a leading contender in the hairdressing industry representing the south west.
By all accounts they had a fantastic day; the winning was just the icing on the cake.
"We really love to take part in these competitions," commented Julie Lewis. "It really gives us an opportunity to sharpen our skills and prove that hairdressing isn't just about standing behind a chair. These competitions allow us to use our imagination and creativity to show exactly what we can really do. I'm so proud of my team, they've really worked hard and now they deserve to enjoy their success."
