Jamie stevens announced as new hairdresser on the x factor

Jamie Stevens has been announced as the new resident hairdresser on The X Factor where he will join a newly-formed Style Team, created to share the contestants' style secrets with viewers.
Jamie, who is nominated for three awards at HJ's 2011 British Hairdressing Awards, will now join stylist Laury Smith and make-up artist Natalya Nair to transform the final 16 contestants on the nation's most-watched television show.
Jamie said: "The X Factor is the biggest talent makeover contest in the UK and having my name affiliated with the Style Team is my biggest honour to date - 90% of a makeover is hair."
"My goal is to educate people on hair - why I'm colouring it red, why I'm cutting it in such a way. Transformations are already under way now, with BIG things to come for the live shows. Exciting times ahead."
