Jamie stevens and marcus king inspire leeds

Leeds was the next stop for the Matrix Revolution Tour with Jamie Stevens and Marcus King working on a host of models showcasing the latest cutting and colouring techniques.
It was the first time Jamie and Marcus had worked together and the Leeds audience were treated to incredible chemistry from the duo. Pacy, upbeat and thoroughly engaging, the evening began with an exquisite display of precision-cutting paired with incredible depth of colour that ranged across the whole spectrum from violet to blonde. As global artistic director for Matrix, Jamie had plenty of advice for the audience from his experiences at photo shoots and as a representative of British hairdressing across the world.
His daring looks drew gasps from captivated onlookers yet it was his ability to soften and texturise even the most edgy silhouettes that demonstrated a wearable interpretation of the Digital Design concept.
Top tips from the show
1 Be known for providing excellent services for all clientele. If you become pigeon-holed for one look you will limit your profitability.
2 If you're cutting on dry hair, spray a mist of hairspray over the ends as it will help to keep hair flat.
3 Entering competitions can change your life - the opportunities you get from competitions like Destination FAME can really kick-start your career
4 Make use of all the tools you have at your disposal. Using clippers is not the lazy option. You will never create a skin fade on a male client with scissors and comb alone and this is the biggest trend story around.
