ghd has announced that James Earnshaw is joining the brand as its new UK trade education ambassador.
In his new role, James will be delivering digital education launches to ghd’s Premier Partner Salons and will be hosting UK education roadshows for the brand.
He will also be working closely with new product development and support shoots, as well as product activations both in the UK and globally.
James will be the lead stylist for the Spring/Summer 2021 ghd trend reveal photoshoot and will also be working with ghd on the collection’s digital launch to ghd salons in the UK and Ireland, as well as the trade press.
“We’re delighted to welcome James to the ghd family,” says Janine Jennings, head of education UK and ROI at ghd.
“His work strikes the perfect balance of being inspirational to hairdressers and highly aspirational to their clients, which makes him the ideal choice for delivering education that maximises the creative capability of our tools while still delivering real-world results which clients will love," she says.
"James has a wealth of relevant experience and we’re really excited to be working with him at this exciting stage in his career,” she added.
James is currently based at
Hazel & Haydn Hairdressing, Birmingham, where he works on a freelance basis. Outside of this, he works on shoots and shows, creating hair that combines striking colour with wearable styling.
His work has earned him more than 30,000 Instagram followers, celebrity and influencer clients and countless hairdressing accolades. Most recently, James was named
Midlands Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards in 2019.
A former member of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s F.A.M.E. Team, James has remained passionate about education and is a regular on stage at Salon International, sharing his styling skills and techniques to live audiences.
