Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony in Vegas over the weekend, and we’re obsessed with J Lo’s wedding hair. Chris Appleton, hairstylist to the stars, created the look – which consisted of bouncy, voluminous waves, with the front section of her hair pulled back neatly. Describing his thought process behind the style, Appleton shared with Vogue: “I pulled back the front of the hair on either side to keep the face open – still with the illusion of the hair being down. The technique was all about getting a gorgeous, luxe finish to the hair. I wanted an effortless, flowy feeling – that when she walked, the hair bounced.” J Lo wore a simple white dress for the occasion – that was reportedly ‘from an old movie’ – and Appleton added that: “To me, good hair isn’t about taking over the look – it’s about complementing it.” J Lo’s super bouncy blowout, paired perfectly with her smoky eye and glossy nude lip, was the epitome of glamour. ‘The Glamourous Bride’ is often a favourite style among many, but let’s take a look at the other brides you might have in your chair this season.

The Classic Bride

Actress Alexandra Daddario recently wed her producer beau Andrew Form in a laid-back New Orleans wedding. Daddario’s hair was swept into a side parting, with the rest being neatly secured in a low bun. The classic style suited her vintage-inspired dress perfectly, and she completed the look with a floor-length veil. The Fussy Bride

One of the most star-studded weddings of 2022 belonged to actress Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham. The bride wore a Valentino Haute Couture creation for the ceremony, whilst her blonde hair was styled into curtain bangs – a style which became viral on TikTok in recent months, thus making this the perfect look for your contemporary brides. The majority of the wedding snaps focused on the front of Peltz’s look, however her crown appeared softly teased, to add volume, whilst loose, tousled waves peaked out from underneath her veil.

The Laid-Back Bride

E! host Erin Lim married Art Director Joshua Rhodes back in 2021, in an intimate backyard wedding. Lim describes the day as ‘unconventional’, telling E! News: "We didn't spend the night before the wedding separately and, on the day of the wedding, I actually ended up going to work and doing The Rundown. I got back to my house at noon and we got married at 4 p.m. I already had my hair and make-up done at work!" As such, her hair was styled in soft curls – which allowed her caramel highlights to pop.
