Introducing the REVAMP Wig Bank

Introducing the REVAMP Wig Bank

London-based wig restoration service REVAMP has launched a community initiative to give donated wigs to people who need them most, in collaboration with charity Hair Reborn

Every year, thousands of human hair wigs sit unused in drawers across the UK, while people going through cancer treatment or living with alopecia go without. A quality wig can cost £500 or more – and for some that's simply out of reach.

That's the gap the REVAMP Wig Bank was built to close. Launched in partnership with Hair Reborn – a UK charity supporting people affected by hair loss, the REVAMP Wig Bank collects donated wigs, restores them professionally, and gives them free-of-charge to people experiencing medical hair loss who can't afford commercial products.

Titi Oderinwale, co-founder of REVAMP, said: “When we started REVAMP, we knew the work was more than just revamping wigs but also restoring confidence. We believe that no quality wig should sit unused in a drawer when there are people experiencing medical hair loss – such as someone going through cancer treatment or living with alopecia – cannot access one. We're so proud to be partnering with Hair Reborn, whose commitment to the people they serve mirrors our own.”

Joe and Lina Milazzo, founders of Hair Reborn, also commented: “For a long time, we've dreamed of a wig bank – a place where wigs could be donated once no longer needed and gifted with dignity and care to those unable to afford one at that time. Due to limited resources, we couldn't do this alone, but it has always been close to our hearts. We're incredibly proud to partner with the fantastic REVAMP team, who has created a dedicated wig bank and will be taking care of everything.”

If you have a wig you no longer wear, REVAMP Wig Bank would love to hear from you.
