Blake & Butler is a new refreshingly unique salon situated in famous Georgian building, Blake House on Blake Street in the heart of the beautiful city of York .
Having been open just 18 months, Blake & Butler already boasts a long list of loyal clientele both local and further afield. Formally an art gallery, salon owner Sharron Butler was keen to secure the premises for her salon space. She instantly saw it's potential as it fit her strong vision of how she wanted her salon to be; decorative, ornate and luxe.
And achieving this look was no mean feat. The premises required complete re-wiring, a new heating system needed to be installed, new walls needed to be built as well as re-plastering and decorating the entire space.
Sharron wanted to give York a real luxury salon environment. Decorative details include a chandelier, ornate wall lamps and a vintage Louis XVI inspired sofa. There are freestanding sections so the salon feels open and spacious, a handmade reception area featuring a black granite surface as well as massage chairs at the backwash.
The space pays tribute to the characteristics of it's Georgian heritage while also providing an inviting and modern salon environment.
