Intercoiffure visionnaire award presented to anthony mascolo

TIGI international creative director, Anthony Mascolo, has been presented with the Intercoiffure Visionnaire Award at the Intercoiffure America and Canada Fall Atelier.
The two-day hairdressing education event, which took place at the Waldorf Astoria in New York, saw Anthony and the TIGI International Creative Yeam present their new collection for 2015. Guests were also treated to a glimpse of the inspiration behind the collections.
After the show, Anthony was presented with the Visionnaire Award. Intercoiffure chose to present the prestigious title to the TIGI founder for his contribution to the global hairdressing industry but also in recognition of his iconic status within in the profession.
The evening also saw six of the world's leading colourists recognised for their skills as Lois Christie, president of Intercoiffure America and Canada awarded the prestigious Icons of Color awards.
Beth Minardi, Gina Khan, Kris Sorbie, Sonya Dove, Roy Peters and Sue Pemberton were all awarded on the night for work which has continuously pushed the envelope and established new standards for the industry.
Intercoiffure America and Canada is a professional association for the hair industry's elite, with more than 200 salon owner members employing more than 27,500 employees. The average annual sales volume for an Intercoiffure member ranges from $1.5 million to $85 million. In addition to their economic clout, Intercoiffure members are renowned for setting the creative and quality standards for the industry.
