In south africa on a photo-shoot - oh the glamour!

I've been in and out of loads of photographic studios in the last few weeks on photo-shoots.

It's a big part of what I do and my agent does a great job getting me some really nice jobs, but it's not all glamour.

Last week, I was in Cape Town on a two-day shoot for a car, TV commercial, that's right a car commercial! My job was to style the models who were in the car, it was lots of fun and a great team.

But wake-up calls at 3.30am to prepare the models hair in my room before driving out to the set and then working all day in 40 degrees-plus temperatures is not at all glamorous!

You're certainly challenged and stretched, especially when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction in a TV commercial for a convertible car ! It was a nightmare for the hair and there were three girls to tend to!

Straight from the airport I went to the office. Business is very busy at the moment. With the Covent Garden Salon now in its fourth month and my hair care range being re-developed there's lots of meeting to be had and decisions to be made.

Having my own salon had always been a bit of a dream and having my own product range is something I love getting my teeth stuck into especially on developing new products.

I hope everyone enjoys using them as much as I've enjoyed making them.
