Icape keeps clients connected at the salon iCape Keeps Clients Connected at the Salon Like it or not, most clients need to stay connected during their appointments - and the iCape has been developed to ensure their devices remain clean, safe and dry while they're in the chair. In a busy world where time is at a premium, no one wants to be cut off from work or family while they're in the salon - staying in touch is a necessity not a luxury for most. But with water, chemicals and clippings a part of salon life, browsing a tablet or smartphone while in the chair can be a tricky proposition. The iCape's clear panel means it's possible to text, email and browse the web while getting your hair styled - with no risk of damage. Simply slip your device into the clear-fronted pocket and you're good to go. There's also a protected cord cover for headphones or chargers to feed through and the iCape 2.0 has plans for more colours, varying lengths and different pouch sizes for varying screens. And for salons who cater to kids, it's a great way to allow them to watch films or play games at the same time; no more wriggling in the seat! The iCape was awarded a US patent in 2013 and sold out of its initial 20,000 units earlier this year. Currently a Kickstarter project, you can find out more about investing and purchasing your own here.
