How to start your salon's journey to net zero

L'Oréal has partnered with Net Zero Now to support salons across the UK & Ireland on their journey to becoming Net Zero.

A recent survey showed that 43% of women* want to see their salon doing more to be sustainable. We know that many salons out there are taking steps to do just that and the L'Oréal Hairstylists for the Future programme is dedicated to supporting them on this journey. New for 2023, L’Oréal Professional Products, in collaboration with Net Zero Now, has launched the Net Zero Salons Programme, to further support salons in responding to their client's sustainable expectations.  

What is the Net Zero Salons Programme?

The Net Zero Salons Programme is a digital tool that guides salons through the process of certifying as a “Net Zero Salon.” The programme's tiered cost approach makes starting the journey even more accessible and a complimentary option provides industry benchmarks along with tips and advice. Salons can opt to pay a monthly fee to access additional support including; annual carbon emission calculations, a bespoke report and tailored reduction plan.
