How to recreate the best waves seen on the met gala red carpet The 2018 Met Gala saw a plethora of stunning hairstyles and accessories all in-keeping with this year's theme; 'Heavenly Bodies'. However, the most angelic locks on the red carpet were Mamma Mia star Amanda Seyfried's waves. Her perfect waves were created by celebrity hairstylist Christian Wood and here he talks us through just how he achieved the style: Apply Wella Professionals EIMI Extra Volume Mousse to wet hair from mid lengths to ends. Using a ghd air® Hairdryer, tip the head upside down and dry the hair completely.
Christian’s tip: Drying upside down helps create tons of volume and encourages natural texture and waves
Using a pintail comb, add a sharp middle part. Once the hair is dry, starting at the nape of the neck take small sections of hair, and section-by-section spray Wella Professionals EIMI Stay Firm Hairspray and brush through. Then wrap the hair around a ghd curve® soft curl tong, hold for 8-10 seconds and release leaving each section to cool. Once all the hair is cooled, spray Wella Professionals EIMI Dry Me throughout the entire hair to add texture and fullness to the waves. Using a Mason and Pearson brush, completely brush out the waves. Then starting at the nape of the neck, section-by-section back brush the waves to create softness and volume. Spray each section with Wella Professionals EIMI Stay Firm Hairspray for long lasting results. To finish, use your fingers and shake out any remaining waves to create a loose, soft texture. https://www.instagram.com/p/BifoRIDFRaU/?taken-by=cwoodhair
