How to Recreate Gigi Hadid’s C-Curl Hair

The ultimate it-girl, Gigi Hadid, recently was spotted with the ‘c-curl’, and we have a feeling will be making its way through salon doors. Here, Tina Farey, Editorial Director at RUSH Hair, shares how to recreate the look…

What Is The C-Curl?

This trend is the chic older sister of the bouncy blow-dry – more defined, more dramatic. The ‘c-curl’ is exactly what the names suggests, with the ends curving inwards completely – mirroring the silhouette of the letter ‘C’. This exaggerated finish is a new approach to styling what is quite a simple cut – it’s elegant with an essence of drama.

The ‘c-curl’ differs from the traditional blow-dry when it comes to styling, whilst the layers are also left slightly longer when it comes to the cut, achieving that curved appearance.

It’s arched, nearly sculptural look is loved for its versatility, complimenting a wide variety of face shapes, hair types and textures. This look is the perfect balance between edge and femininity – being both polished and trendy simultaneously.

The ‘c-curl’ particularly suits those with straighter hair, as the sleek, smoothness of the hair helps to emphasise the definition of the curved ends. Those with a diamond face shape shine with the ‘c-curl’ finish as it highlights the face’s symmetry, whilst softening the jawline.

How to Recreate The C-Curl

To achieve the perfect ‘c-curl’, the key is in the styling! This look requires minimal styling to look effortlessly chic, so I’d recommend curling the ends of the hair inwards with a pair of straighteners to create that dramatic upward turn.

I can guarantee this will be one of the top requested looks for Summer!

Speaking of summer, here's the shades set to define the season, according to leading colour experts…
