Bright, sweet-shop inspired hair colours are everywhere right now. From ultra-violet purple hues to gen Z yellow these bold colours are being enjoyed by many and are popping up on Instagram feeds everywhere.
To embrace the hair trend Zara Lynch, colour expert at Salon Services created this nostalgically coined ‘fruit salad’ hair colour. Here's how to recreate it...
Preparation:
To achieve this look, you will need the following products: ● Ion Colour Flash Exotic Orange (semi-permanent) ● Ion Colour Flash Hot Pink (semi-permanent) ● Ion Colour Flash Crystal Clear (semi-permanent) ● Ion Colour Care Colour Protect Conditioner ● Maria Nila Style & Finish Volume Spray ● Barnum Magnesium Hair Dryer ● Barnum Magnesium Brush ● Barnum Magnesium Straightener
(All available at Salon Services)
1. To create this showstopper look, pre-lighten the hair to a white blonde, then shampoo and dry, leaving hair slightly damp, and finally part the hair equally with a centre parting.
2. Next, using a tint brush, apply Colour Flash Exotic Orange (semi-permanent) to the routes and drag the colour down about 2.5 inches
3. Then, apply ½ Ion Colour Flash Exotic Orange (semi-permanent) and ½ Ion Colour Flash Crystal Clear (semi-permanent) to the mid-lengths, blending with the roots
4. Finally, apply ¼ Ion Colour Flash Exotic Orange (semi-permanent) and ¾ Ion Colour Flash Crystal Clear (semi-permanent) to the ends of the hair, blending with the mid-lengths
5. Once this is done, leave the colour to process for 20 minutes, rinse and condition with Ion Colour Care Colour Protect Conditioner

6. Repeat steps 2-5 for the other half of the hair using Ion Colour Flash Hot Pink (semi-permanent)
7. To finish, style with Maria Nila Style & Finish Volume Spray, blow-dry using the Barnum Magnesium Hair Dryer and Barnum Magnesium Brush, and add soft waves with the Barnum Magnesium Straightener
